ok so i lied, i took option b and had 4 slices of toasted ham and cheese mayo sandwiches..
anyways, did i miss anything interesting?? did a CCP reply back and say we all could have a free nyx and that tengu will be buffed back to unprobable?

This smells very much like APB Reloaded though that is a free game they sell improved weapons and soon to be cars for real life money, lets just say everyone was enjoying the return of APB Reloaded in early Beta, then they introduced this MT crap, i and many of my friends in apb have quit, uninstalled and dont miss the game 1 single bit.. you will always have rich kids who can buy the better "thing" in a game, but let me tell you something, the rich kid who can buy or will buy the better goods will also get bored of the game very very quickly. as for the guy who cant afford it, the die hard, the one who spends his entire free time in the game? well he will quit without much question, and you know what? he would have been your longterm payment.
do the maths ccp, is a few stupid MT transactions more profitable over years and years of subs from diehards? i dont think so, and anyone who does is simply ignorant.

Well you can try to explain why. Instead of it. It would be actually far more productive.
What is there to explain? i see very very stupid people saying well if they introduced +6 implants for $50 i wouldnt mind, or if they introduce better faction ammo for a small fee i wouldnt mind.. Fact is let ANYTHING into the sandbox that boosts performance and they will eventually add more, better boosts, soon it will be buy skillpoints and then eve dies.
Common sense chap common ****ing sense.

Don't give me the whole, well we have character selling crap. there is a huge difference, 1 being a form of higher purchase.
Not many people can go out and just buy a 96mil sp character, as it costs so much rl money.
Let that same person have an option to buy skillpoints, oh look i can buy 10mill a week.
Then a game that takes over 22years or whatever to learn everything and is the fundamental part which keeps so many addicted to the game, is reduced to a much shorter period to those willing to spend a chunk of there rl cash on it each week. see the ripple effect yet? good
and for the record, mostly all the main points brought up in this entire thread i agree with, 1 or 2 *******s jabbering on about yes +6 implants and faction ammo are good in my books, no just ****ing no, and you sir can go **** yourself if you think they deserve there voice to be heard.

I think we're shocked because CCP was never perceived as a greedy corporation. They seemed different than the others. If Sony had done this to us, I'd be far less shocked. I'd have expected this. This just feels like a stab in the back.

heres the deal, every t3 bullet would have to be bought through aurum, which is made from plex. whether you buy plex with real money or with isk, someone gave ccp 20 USD for it.
also important is that there is no manufacturing in this. the only NPC seeded items on the markets are BPOs, the rest of it is player made, rock to mineral to manufactory. these pay to win items ignore that whole thing and allow a guy with too much RL or ingame cash to blow to refit a fleet of pods from one station in less than a day, not once touching any part of the production line.
